CAC moves to strike off around 100,000 companies over unfiled returns

The Corporate Affairs Commission has published a list of roughly 100,000 companies liable to be struck off the register for outstanding annual returns and unfiled beneficial ownership information, with a fixed window to regularise before removal.

Affected companies must file all outstanding annual returns and their Persons with Significant Control (beneficial ownership) information, and send proof of compliance to struckoffcompanies@cac.gov.ng. Companies that miss the window may be struck off the register without further notice.

Applies to registered companies named on the CAC's published list of affected companies.
